Please describe your sustainable offering and how it relates to the Event Industry.

I always try to find things that have been gently used before I would buy anything new. There are many things that are used only once at a wedding that can be laundered or could have been rented. Weddings that are tied to a charitable event tend to be "greener". I look for items that people have forgotten to take to their wedding or reception and I'll buy them rather than have them throw them out. I let people know that they should always try to re-sell unused or gently used items. I recommend that clients give favors and gifts that will be used rather than just admired and thrown away. I look for businesses and charities that will accept items. My father's generation lived green without them knowing it! I think we can learn a lot from the oldest people among us! Especially those who lived through the depression.
